I ride these wheels through roots, mud rocks and jump obstacles and wilderbeast through creeks with them. They work and feel better than the wheelset that came on the Salsa El Mariachi I ride.

Do not use this product if you are over 200 lbs and then complain about this wheel set doesn't hold up.
This wheel set is made to cut down overall bike weight for XC racing, but it is pointless to cut down weight if you are over 200lbs

Mostly riding singletrack, I immediately noticed a stiffer, more responsive ride over my stock set. Despite being a bit heavier than the old v-brake set, I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking to upgrade an entry-level bike.

I bought this wheelset for the name brand parts that were hopefully assembled into a solid wheelset. Right out of the box these wheels were round and true, but the spokes were very inconsistently tensioned. Which was not a big deal to me since I replaced the rear hub with a WTB Single Duty and re-tensioned the front wheel myself. These are solid, machine assembled wheels made with good quality parts, but if you want them to stay true longer than one or two rides, re-tension them spokes.
