Shimano SLX M675 Disc Brake

Coming to a stop is much harder than it sounds, especially when you’re bombing down a run at 30 miles an hour. The Shimano M675 brakes provide ample stopping power to bring you to a complete hault. The hydraulic disc brakes feature Ice technology. Heat from friction can cause rapid temperature increases and cause brake fade. Ice technology allows heat to dissipate quickly to keep braking even. With the decrease in temperature brake pad life is also prolonged.

One way bleeding means you get back on the dirt faster. It is much faster and cleaner than competing brake bleeding systems.

  • Intended for Mountain Biking/ Cross Country/ Enduro Riding
  • One Way Bleeding
  • Ice Technology
  • I-Spec B mount
  • Adoption of Ceramic Piston
  • Hose Length: Front - 1000mm / Rear - 1700mm
Rotors are not included.

Comments about Shimano SLX M675 Disc Brake:

Replaced Avid Elixer 1 brakes with these. Night and day difference. Didn't need it but I did a bleed just to see how easy it was compared to the lunacy that is the avid design. How can elixirs be selling? The slx brakes just make sense. Easy install. Easy to trim the hoses to length. Easy bleed. Great stopping power.

Comments about Shimano SLX M675 Disc Brake:

These are the best brakes I've ever had, These replaced my old Magura MT6's; WAY WORTH IT. After a few rides I started noticing I was braking with one finger even know I though I would always stick to two fingers. Buy'em! Or the XT's

Comments about Shimano SLX M675 Disc Brake:

I use the brakes on my work messenger bike and they're as powerful as the XTR/XT brakes but lack some of the fine tuning adjustments. But, I don't really care at this price they're perfect. I also pull trailers around that weight over 100 lbs. and the brakes work great in that application as well. The shape of the levers is better then earlier SLX models too. Another nice feature is the ease in which you can bleed them, no more spilled fluild. On my Mtn. bike they work great too.

Comments about Shimano SLX M675 Disc Brake:

I purchased these as an upgrade from Avid Elixir 5's. I can't say enough about how much better these SLX brakes are, great modulation, quiet, no fade. I have full confidence that these brakes will do exactly as i need them. They are bigger, with the reservoir, than the closed system brakes out there, but you won't get the quality feel, and even if the rotors get hot, you don't see a lot of fade as a result in the SLX brakes. Just a solid component that does what it's supposed to.

Comments about Shimano SLX M675 Disc Brake:

I have a 2010 Santa Cruz Bullit that i use to do Enduro which pretty much is pedal the uphill to shred big the downhill time. I had 2010 Hayes Stroker Trail that i replaced with this Shimano SLX brakes and even that both brake systems are dual piston, this SLX are such an amazing improvement to my bike, the breaking power is amazing and it doesn't fade when breaking continuously or hard. The first time i used them i actually took a fall because of the power this brakes provide and that i wasn't used to. Besides in wet conditions they work great. The price for this brakes is just low and fair for the great brake system you will get. Also, the Shimano one way bleeding system made it super easy to cut the brake line to adjust it to my frame, i did it in 2 minutes and no bleeding was required. The only thing i didn't like so much is that the fluid cap on the lever is a little bit bigger than i expected, but that has nothing to do with performance.

This is my first dealing with hydraulic brakes and the confidence they give while riding is awesome. Don't skimp on brakes when buying a mountain bike, good brakes mean everything, esp if you weigh 200lbs.
