Great bar ends but you really need to not over tighten them when you put them on. I have broken two due to over tighening but the current ones have been perfect for over a year.

I like the feel and look, but the quality and/or design is not adequate for the task. These should not break under minimal torquing (i.e. enough so they don't turn on the bars. I agree with the other reviewer, if they can get the design and build right, these are good bar ends, but not in the current form.

Both bar ends snapped while torquing them to the bars. This wasn't a case of overly aggressive torquing; this was merely applying just enough torque to keep them from slipping under nominal hand gripping forces. These are made completely of plastic. Had they used a metal sleeve insert for the clamping mechanism, I believe this would have mitigated the observed structural failures, while allowing enough torque to be applied for secure operation. I can't imagine anyone being able to successfully install use these in light of this poor design. I hate to sound like a product basher, but after my experience I felt compelled to submit this review to alert other potential consumers as this could be a serious safety issue. If one were to get these mounted successfully, I would imagine any significant application of riding force may very well trigger an untimely and unpredictable structural failure, which would result in a severely negative, if not catastrophic, impact on bike control. I would further imagine this failure potential would increase dramatically in colder weather where the plastic would become even more brittle.
