SixSixOne Rage Hard Knee/Shin Guard 2014

Boy does taking a pedal to the shin feel good… Not! The Rage Hard utilizes internal hardcaps to ensure you don’t receive any more pedal tattoos on your shins and that your knees stay intact should you hit the deck. Side impact protection is enabled thru EVA foam padding, since after all, how often do we fall straight on the front of our knees? Exactly. The Rage features perforated neoprene/mesh construction to provide airflow and ventilation keeping the guard from becoming damp and irritating. Pre-curved chasis offer an ergo fit, optimizing comfort and the Velcro closures keep the guard snug and secured. Slide on this shin guard and Rage Hard!

  • Ultimate Protection with Internal Hardcap
  • Abrasion Resistant with Stretch Kevlar
  • Side Impact Protection with EVA Foam Padding
  • Ventilation Through Perforated Neoprene/Mesh Construction
  • Superior Fit with Pre-Curved Chassis
  • Stays in Place with Velcro Closures
  • CE
  • 50% Neoprene, 15% Kevlar, 15% EVA, 15% Nylon, 5% Plastic

Comments about SixSixOne Rage Hard Knee/Shin Guard 2014:

I have been using the 661 rage for about five days now and they look like they are already a season old. I ride hard downhill and have crashed once or twice on them but the crashing is not what tears them up, it is my platform petals. Keep in mind that only the knee guard is solid an everything else is like memory foam so it rips up way to easy. But once you got through the hassle of putting them on they dissapear and are comfortable but hot. Bottom line is that I would not buy these if using platform pedals but otherwise i think they are ok product just not for the price.

Comments about SixSixOne Rage Hard Knee/Shin Guard 2014:

Very comfortable. The description says 'hard shell', but only the knee is a hard shell, the shin pad is only a soft pad, which might not protect you as much as you'd like for pedal-to-shin contact.

Comments about SixSixOne Rage Hard Knee/Shin Guard 2014:

After alot of reviews and searching, I decieded these were the best match for me. I ordered the matching elbow and knee/shin pads both in size large. The elbom pads fit great but the knee/shin pads were alittle tight. I had to exchange them for XL. I recommend if you have musclar legs to get the XL.

Comments about SixSixOne Rage Hard Knee/Shin Guard 2014:

First time wearing these on some downhill trails and a some jump park fun, didnt even notice they were there, extremely comfortable and the hard knees offer total protection. Day ended badly when i went over the bars on a 15 ft double and separated my shoulder on impact. But with a little ingenuity from my friends, we removed my shin guards and use them as a sling for my arm for the hike back to the cars. Thank you SixSixOne!
