Overall it is a great product. I ride downhill (every week) and I have taken a few pedals to shin, which left some pretty nasty gashes. I rarely get injured, but when I did it was usually from my pedals. Now I wear shin guards (under my pants of course), so those injuries are a thing of the past. So, the pads could have been a bit longer.
I found the pads uncomfortable to wear at first. So I bought a pair of inexpensive knee warmers and now I don't even notice that the pads are there. I have had the pads for three years now, and I plan to keep them for another three years.
