These are great entry level shifters with plenty of trickle down technology from its bigger brothers in Sram's line up. They have zero loss technology in the front shifter but not in the rear (only Sram's rear derailleur has sero loss). I also really like Sram's doubletap shifting. It makes transitioning between the small and large chainring really easy since you can shift up or down three gears at a time in the rear. Being apex, they are the heaviest shifters in Sram's line up but only 24 grams more than the Rivals.
