The chain works great. Well lubricated, quiet, seems well designed. It's just a shame I couldn't get the P-link to work for me. I had trouble getting it on and off, finding that it isn't quite a simple as squeezing and pulling/pushing. My chain had quite a tight fit around the p-link, so it didn't work as advertised. I just got rid of it, and closed the chain back up the old fashioned way. Hopefully it works better for you. This is definitely the chain to get for 6/7/8 speed bikes.

had this chain on my hardtail and have 0 problems with it. the only thing bad with it is that i have gone through quite a few before and wear out quickly.

The PowerLink and factory grease make the installation of this chain super easy. The chain is a little on the heavy side, but the strength and price of this chain offset that.

This is a good cheap money chain to use on older 7 sp mountain bikes. I've put mine to good use this season with no issues.

I bought this as a replacement chain for my wife's bike. The price was right and it seems to be a good quality chain. I love the powerlink installation especially when installed with my park tool. Made the bike run 100 times better then the old stretched chain.

I've used Shimano chains from the beginning but figured I'd give SRAM a try. The power link is pretty slick. I routed the chain wrong in the rear derailer when I put it on and didn't realize it till I had the link connected. It was too simple to just pop the link free and fix my mistake. Much faster than breaking out the chain tool and then dealing with a stiff link. The PC850 works great on my 7 speed drivetrain (Shimano derailers, Truvativ FireX SL crankset, Shimano MegaRange cassette).

A fine inexpensive chain. Commuting in all weather and poor maintenance schedule makes for short chain life. This chain puts up with it for a few years and is affordable. I like the powerlinks for easy removal and cleaning. Once in awhile.
