I upgraded to this cassette from the Sram 1050 when I decided I wanted a closer gearing ratio. It definitely shifts better but it may just be because of the smaller jumps in the cogs. I also think it is a little quiter as well. I noticed a little wear on my hub when I switched cassettes but I haven't riden enough miles yet to agree or disagree with some of the other reviewers about the cassette tearing up the hub splines. Hopefully they won't since I used a torque wrench and tightened to the proper NM.

SRAMs mid-level cassette delivers good performance and good value without too much of a weight penalty. As long as the lock nut is properly torqued you shouldn't have an issue with the individual cogs digging into the hub freewheel.

If you have an aluminum Freehub, this cassette will destroy it. They loose cogs will bite into the aluminum and then wont line up like they should. If you have a stainless Freehub, you're good.

Bought this as part of a FORCE Group, I was surprised to find that this cassette comes in so many peices. I think that this is what contributes to all the noise it maks shifting gears.Will upgrade to RED level once this has run it's course.Light responsive shifting however so it preforms as designed.
