Comments about Stan's No Tubes Stan's Arch 29'Er / Sram X.9 Wheel:
Bought a front and rear set and must say these are great buying for the money - Stans Arch need no introductions - a well made XC/Trail rim which goes tubeless so easily.
SRAM hubs are not the lightest in the market but are durable (mine are now 1500kms old) and have not missed a beat. Wheels haven't needed truing, but the rear has a very slight waver in it so probably due for a re-tension now.

Comments about Stan's No Tubes Stan's Arch 29'Er / Sram X.9 Wheel:
These rims are built up as a two cross spoke pattern and spokes will loosen up after several miles. After being retensioned, they will still loosen up and wheel becomes untrue. decent setup just poor build. Do yourself a favor and either buy one built buy stans or your local repitable bike shop.

This wheel is holding up better than the custom handmade one I own. I only have 5 rides on this wheel, would give it 5 stars if it survives the season.

Comments about Stan's No Tubes Stan's Arch 29'Er / Sram X.9 Wheel:
Converted a 1995 Trek Y11 to a rigid 69r with the Surly Karate Monkey fork. This rim was the second cheapest rim and converted to tubeless with Stan's 21mm tape and the Bronson 29r tire. Great rim, good price. Not as cool as the crank brothers but about half the price.

Comments about Stan's No Tubes Stan's Arch 29'Er / Sram X.9 Wheel:
The pros: Stans quality. Tubeless. DT Swiss spokes. Mine were built by Handspun. Cons: The engagement on the X-9 freehub isn't terrific. My spoke nipples were lubed and came loose after 40 miles.(I am heavy though) I trued them up and put some weeping loctite on them. Problem solved.
You aren't going to be able to beat these for the price, I dont even think you could build them yourself for the money. They aren't taped so for tubeless, you will need the Stans rim tape and stems. I am really pleased with my purchase.

Comments about Stan's No Tubes Stan's Arch 29'Er / Sram X.9 Wheel:
Bought these as a second set. Overall very impressed with the quality and build. Can't go wrong with Stans. Will need your own rim strip or tape for these, which is to be expected so you can set them up how you like. I'd recommend the Stans because it's awesome, but requires some strength to pull tight when installing (watch video on internet for more details). There's no evidence of being hand built, scratches, dings, nothing. Very well packaged. Built with the butted DT swiss spokes, so super heavy riders may end up with some loose spokes on the rear wheel. Built very true, round, and with even spoke tension. Only gripe might be the X9 rear hub is a fairly low point of engagement freewheel, but it's still a bargain. There is no way you could piece together the parts to build these yourself for these prices; it's like getting a custom wheel at a discount.
