Arch EX is the evolution of the Arch, already a top seller for NoTubes in years past. It is wider, lighter, and tougher than before. 24.6mm width is better to handle the bigger, higher air volume tires in use on today's full suspension trailbikes.

I purchased a set of these when they came out this spring, black 29" size. Built them up with king hubs. No problems or any damage from typical XC use, not hitting any large drops or anything like that. I exceed the recommended weight limit as I am 270lbs geared up, but still no problems with approximately 1,200km on them this year. Easy tubeless set up with Stans tape, sealant, and conti race kings. I'll be picking up a second set of these soon for another bike.

These rims built up easily. Got the black 29er and the ERD came in at 604 as stated on the rim. The Stans website was different at 605. Good balance of durability weight and value. Plan on using these wheels for midwest singletrack and colorado all mountain riding. Plan to go with crests for midwest racing.

I recently purchased a set of Arch Ex 29 rims, and you really can't beat their price/weight ratio for XC riding. Their bead technology works well, and makes running tubeless easy. I have ridden several different Stan's models, and they are all great as long as you understand that their intended use is a bit exaggerated. For example, the Crest rims are really XC race or front wheel only, the Arch's are suitable for XC, and the Flows are good for aggressive trail riding, but they don't make anything suitable for freeride or DH (note to Stan's, if you did make a heavy duty rim, I would buy it). I am a 155 lb aggressive XC/all-mountain rider.
