It wasn't until after relentless hours of working and testing with Stan's sponsored road racers and cyclocross team, that Stan's was comfortable drafting initial blueprint for the Grail Team wheels. The result is what may be the most unrestricted, disc-specific rim for the pavement, cross-course, and gravel. Measuring in at over 24mm wide and 24.5mm deep, the Grail Team carries the title of "Stan's deepest profile", making it the most aerodynamic rim they've produced.

Knowing that aerodynamic properties aren't everything when it comes to burning around tricky cross courses, Stan's designed the Grail with a variable wall thickness spoke bed that maximized durability and provides consistent spoke tension while keeping weight at the lower end of the scale. Its internal rim channel and true BST sidewalls coalesce to lend supplementary strength and create a tire profile that's just plain faster.

The resilient Grail rims are laced to Stan's new Neo S hub system which features larger stainless steel bearings and a stronger, stiffer, shoulderless axle that creates a stiff and durable core that's light enough to tackle quadbusting climbs, nimble enough to pick through dirt sections, and strong enough to take the occasional big hits.
