Plus size wheels and tires have emerged from the fat bike genre and are quickly settling into the industry as a valued option when it comes to bike choices. The Stan's No Tubes Hugo is a great lightweight and tubeless compatible option when considering your next plus size wheel build. Available in 26", 27.5", and 29" diameters, the rim features a 52mm exterior width is 49.9mm wide on the inside and features an inventive profile which makes tubeless set up a synch. If tubes are your preferred way to roll, check out the low profile side wall. It makes pinch flats virtually impossible. Rims are drilled for use with Schrader valve tubes or valve stems.

Paired with a 4.0" tire, this was intended to be my race-fat wheel set and for summer trail riding. However, they rode so nicely, they became my everyday wheels year-round. They built up easily (eyelets - yes!). Tires seated and sealed easily. They have not yet 'burped' even as low as 8psi. Switching from a Surly Marge Lites w/tubes, to the Hugo run tubeless, it saved 1.5 pounds per wheel. Saving three pounds of rotational weight is a HUGE improvement. Great rims.
Bought a set and put them on my Fargo to make a "pudgy" bike. WTB Trailblazers. I have now bent the rim from the inside out a total of 6 times. Front and back. So burp a tire, bend the rim. And no amount of stan's fluid will plug that leak. Out on the trail there aren't a lot of options. I am over it and am currently shopping for WTB Scraper rims.
I have never had any issues that come close to this on any wheelset. Oh, and this is all flowing over the hills in Indiana. Not exactly a Moab situation. These rims are more temperamental than a tweener dressed in black.
Right in line with the first review, ive gone through 4 wheels now all outward bends...im sure these are fine for fat riders who ride very slow and casual adventure riding, but if your pushing your fatbike with some speed on technical trails these WILL burp on you and they WILL bend the second they bump anything..
