Sugino Standard Chainring

Sugino Standard Chainring

Sugino Standard Chainrings are the gold standard of high-quality, no-frills chainrings for your crankset! Machined from high quality aluminum, they will last thousands of miles and look good doing it. Improve your gearing to customize for your local terrain, or use as replacements for worn-out chainrings. These rings are unramped and unpinned, so they will shift a little slower than a ramped chainring, but allow you to mix and match different chainrings to customize gearing. They are great for single-ring use as well. They are compatible with most multi-speed chains, however these are designated as 9-speed. Be sure to choose chainrings that match the bolt circle diameter (BCD) of your crankset for proper fit.

Features and Information

  • No ramps or pins for easy mixing and matching
  • 110mm or 74mm BCD (for road compact or old school MTB triple use)
  • 5 Bolt
  • Choose the BCD that matches your application from drop down menu
  • 9-speed Optimized (compatible with most multi-speed drivetrains)

      Works fine for the price.
They are cheap, but for the price work well. My set has 2K Mile on them, wear is visible, but working fine.

      Just a good ol' chainring
I put this on an old school Kastan BMX race bike for my kid, and he loves it. Its been through that special kind of abuse that only children are capable, and still pedals great!

      I bent this...
I bent this chainring on the second ride. Just a small bend but that was all it took to make the chain skip off under load. Spend some extra money and purchase the stainless steel version.

BEST ANSWER: Try another store? Harris Cyclery has them. This answer facility won't allow me to insert a link, but if you search for Harris Cyclery and then parts, chainrings, sugino 74 mm, etc you can find them.

      Good luck...
This is to replace a middle chainring on an old Shimano RSX crankset, 7 speed (1998).

      Will it be compatible?

BEST ANSWER: The BCD may be engraved on your current chainring. If not, measuring the BCD of your crankset is the best method to ensure a proper fit. Wolf Tooth components has a nice "How-to" on their site here:
