Surly Nate 27 TPI Tire

The Surly Nate is a go- anywhere, do- anything tire. The casing is round and supple at 120 TPI. The tall, widely spaced knobs are siped for added grip and compliance, which optimizes their grip. The knob’s wide spacing means they dig deep into the terrain for optimal traction. The tire has tread wrapped around the sides which provides traction in hard turns.

  • More aggressive tread than other Surly fat tires
  • Tall, widely spaced knobs with siping
  • Tread wraps around the side of the tire a bit
  • PSI: 5-30 PSI
  • Tire Bead: Steel

Hands down best tire for terrible conditions.
This tire is nuts! I only ride the bike these tires are mounted to during the winter months when the trail is either covered in 1-2 inches of snow or a mix of snow, ice, and mud. The tire makes it so I can climb just about anything, it hooks up really well in corners, and it actually rolls pretty well (in snow). They actually kind of make my fat bike feel like how my trail bike feels on loamy/ over-hard trails (except it rolls slow because...it is a fat bike after all). I don't think I would ever even bother trying anything else because of the conditions in which my fat bike is exclusively used. These tires make 98% of the crappiest trails rideable.

Love the Nate
This tire has never ending traction in the snow. Can't believe I lasted this long without it.

THIS IS A 27 TPI TIRE!
This is a great tire for what it is but you should know it's a 27tpi tire, not a 120 tpi as stated in the description...read carefully!

PROS: Durable Rubber, Great Traction
