I've never paid this much for a seat post before, but it's been one of the best investments. Yeah, it's super light, but the flex is awesome! I used this to replace my stock aluminum seat post on my 29er hardtail. What a difference! Be aware that the more seatpost you have exposed, the more flex you'll get. I have my post set less that 2 inches from the minimum insert, so I can definitely notice the flex, but it's not too much. Because of the design of the carbon, there is no side to side flex. Only forward/back. Love it!

I bought this to replace the super stiff OEM aluminum seat post that came with my hardtail 29er. Boy, this thing added just the right amount of cushion I was looking for; best described as running super low PSI on the rear wheel. I had to stop and check my rear tire for flats a couple of times! It also looks great and feels high quality.
I just finished a 36 mile endurance MTB race with this seatpost and this thing performed flawlessly. I was beginning to get lower back pain with my old set up on shorter rides. No back pain with this. I also switched from an aluminum flat bar to a low rise carbon handlebar which also helped with comfort.

Added this to my Santa Cruz Highball. The bike originally came with a Thomson Elite and was brutally stiff. The addition of the Syntace Hiflex made the ride much much smoother.
