This brake made my Lemond a fun bike to ride. The factory spec'd Avid Shorty 4 brake on the front drove me crazy with its squealing. Nothing I did could silence it for more than a few miles. I ditched it and bought this Tektro brake for an awesome price. Instant relief! Now I ride silently.
Only downside I see is that I need to buy a bell. That, and an adapter so that I can back off the brake cable tension to remove the front wheel.

These Mini-V-Brakes work great with Shimano Ultegra Road Shifter/Brake Levers, inexpensive and easier to set-up then cantilever brakes. Jenson is out of the fronts, but just move the pads to make a front set.

Very nice mini-V brake, especially for 10 bucks. Replaced some well-worn Avid 5 v-brakes on a cyclocross bike. Big improvement - nice and stiff, easy to modulate, stock pads are very quiet. If you need mini-V's, you can't beat these for value. And a mini-V is the same thing, regardless of whether it's labeled for "BMX", "City", or "Cyclocross".

I purchased these to use road bars on a Nashbar touring frame. They work exceedingly well. There might be interference issues with fenders or big gnarly tires at a later date, as the cable passes closer to the top of the tire. I have about a quarter inch of clearance with 32mm Panaracer Paselas. I have no complaints on the function of the brakes. The pads are decent too. Make sure that you make provisions to have barrel adjusters somewhere along the cable to account for later adjustments. Most road levers don't provide this.

I wanted improved stopping power and less squealing on my cross bike. I was also having some pretty bad brake shudder. I replaced the front canti brake with the Tektro and so far so good. The only downside is tire removal. I'm still trying to set it up such that I can have good braking and relatively easy tire removal options.
