The right tool

I buy this kit to bleed auriga comp brake and it works just as it should. Even though this is not part of the description but the outlet valve is included.

I gave this three stars since it is not as good as other kits on the market. This kit is less expensive than the Shimano version. As my literature teacher would say, compare and contrast. Shimano costs more, Tektro costs less. It has been this way for many years. Shimano requires a separate order of the funnel but Tektro only includes a bag. The funnel is better. The bag gets the job done. Tektro's syringe doesn't fit the hand as well so is more prone to breaking. Fast Forward... If you are looking to service your brakes and move on, get the Tektro which includes fittings for trimming lines. If you want to do several bleeds/changes get the Shimano and order the extra parts.

The kit had everything I needed to bleed my brakes. Ordered additional oil since this was my first time bleeding the brakes. Easier and faster than taking bike into the shop.

This product is just not a good value. there is just enough fluid to do one break and there is no margin
        for error.

I understand that this is a niche and the products are expensive as such but come on. plasic tubing mabey 25 cents worth plastic syringe mabe a buck nuts bolts bame a buck and you can buy a tone of mineral oil for a few dollars so come on now.

The kit works as described. Is simple and straight forward with the help of some YouTube videos. After a little research you can find an easier way to bleed the brakes. It's worth the bottle of fluid, but do some research and you'll see what I mean.

Comments about Tektro Hydraulic Brake Bleed Kit:

I used this bleed kit on my 2012 Specialized Hardrock SD 29er. I am military stationed in Japan and purchased this bike locally. Well the brakes are reversed (left brake is rear and right is front). It took some getting to get used to but dangerous on the trails especially when panic braking going downhill. After locking up the front and going over the handlebars a few times I decided to swap them back to "normal". This kit worked as advertised, a little messy though. Make sure you clean out the calipers of any spilled oil before assembly or your pads will get contaminated and sqeak!

Plastic syringe was brittle and failed making a mineral oil mess. I did finished the job with a 10cc syringe that I had laying around.

The fittings are necessary but the syringe is cheap and failed me. That said have a medical syringe as a plan B.

FYI - the Tektro syringe volume is 20ml/CC so a trip to the Vet supply or farm store will get yourself a 20cc syringe of quality.
Watch the Tektro U-tube video and go fix it. Its not very difficult.

Used this to bleed my tekro disk brakes. Never done it before but with this equipment I found it easy. Took less than a half hour to bleed my rear breaks. I would recommend this to anyone who would like to start bleeding their own tekro brakes.

Comments about Tektro Hydraulic Brake Bleed Kit:

Made a huge mess, used all fluid and still brakes don't work, now have a litter on the way with the correct instructions for my brakes.Advice #1 get owners manual from brake manufacture as they are all different ways to bleed. Unlike car brakes mine required you insert fluid from the bottom, not the top reservoir. Reservoir is for the old fluid to come out of, but READ the manual on this process before you waste the limited amount of fluid it brings.Advice #2 Have alcohol for cleanup as you will spill this. It still left a oilly feeling but thats all I could to clean it up. Even cleaning it off hands was a job, maybe some dawn or strong detergent to get off hands. No where on site nor product page does it say if it works with shimano. Cost to much to buy another 50ml bottom. So I got the shimano 1 litter as the color looks the same.

Comments about Tektro Hydraulic Brake Bleed Kit:

Product is easy to "figure out" if you have some idea of what to do. I've read other posts that state they didn't know what the brass fittings are for; they are to use if you plan on cutting your main hose and change the fittings. My brake hose was leaking at the caliper so those fittings came in handy. I cut the hose about 1/4 inch, took off the existing black screw ring, put on the new black screw ring, slipped on the brass colar, then inserted the brass barb onto the end of the hose. Then take the hose and insert into the caliper, slide the brass collar down into the caliper and the slide the black screw ring into the caliper. The black screw ring will crimp and seal the brass collar.
