Comments about Tektro Lyra Light Rotor:

The braking surface is so narrow the brake pads overlap with the arms that connect the surface to the hub--this can cause the brakes to grab aggressively when the pad catches on the arm as it passes. With stock Lyra brakes and pads, they also seem to soak up heat (unladen, commuting, short < 100m vert) and fade away. I guess they do work, but I am considering them placeholders for other rotors when I upgrade to hydraulic brakes.

Comments about Tektro Lyra Light Rotor:

Just the bare minimum to have a working brake rotor. Super light and quite effective in the rear where maybe 10% of your braking force comes from. If you have IS tabs in the rear, a front IS/post 160mm adapter gives the correct radius. Probably wouldn't want to use this for a front brake except maybe a kid's bike. I find it much easier to modulate without lockup than a larger rotor. Combined with a 180 up front is the perfect balance for me. Use with Formula RS brakes on a Santa Cruz Chameleon 650b. Grandson also uses this rotor on his Raleigh with Shimano 595 brakes and a 160 up front.
