It's a nice cap but a little heavy for it's size. Not really a big deal since it's small but when you pick it up it is heavier than what you would expect from an item that small.

Being such a simple part, it is hard to go wrong. This cap has a lightly textured machined finish that is a wonderful finishing touch to match a Thomson stem. I'm sure there are lighter carbon caps available, but you'd have to be a really big weight weenie to worry about it. However, for the price of a Thomson stem, you'd think they could just throw this in with it.
