Love these seatposts, have them in various sizes on three different bikes (including one road bike). Very strong and light, and I love the ridges on the post that keep it from sliding in the seat tube.
It is expensive, though. Getting your saddle attached is pretty finicky, but I've gotten good at it with a little practice. Adjusting the saddle angle can be somewhat time consuming but it's very accurate and stays put once you set it.

I've owned several of these seat posts over the years and they are amazing. The only thing that I can thing of as a negative is installing a new saddle. It's not difficult, just annoying when trying to make finetuned adjustments.

I have them on all my bikes. Road, track, Mtn. and commuter. Stiff, light, and strong. Don't have to worry about it snapping off like carbon! For mtn bikes you may have to clean dirt buildup out from under the seat from time to time.

Thomson has unparalleled manufacturing and quality control.
The Masterpiece is their most refined, light weight post. Do note, with their attention to QC and safety, Thomson gives a ride weight limit for this post.
I've had a serious injury from another manufacturer's seat post failure and Thomson is now the only product i trust with my life. I'm 190lbs suited up to hit the bike park and feel secure using the Masterpiece for this hardcore application. It also rivals any seat post on the market in regards to weight. I'd use it on my weight wennie road bike. There might be posts out their that are slightly lighter but are you really going to count a handful of grams vs safety.

Use it on my Ibis since 2010, it´s perfect and a beautiful piece. A also recomend the x4 stem to make the pair. And you can use it on your repair stand without any fear (instead of the carbon´s)

Will always use thomson seatpost they are the best. My bike came with a carbon fiber offset post and I tried that out fo ra day and took it right out. I perosnaly do not like the flex the a carbon seatpost has. Overall Thomson is great!

Easy to install onto the bike, putting the saddle in was easy, adjusting the angle of the seat didn't take to long either!

Does not slip, does not break, easy to adjust. If the post is going to be installed on a bike with a shot peened finish, make sure that all ofthe mini bb's have been cleaned out before installing the post, if not, you will scratch the post.
