This rack works great. I live down a bumpy dirt road and the bike stays still. I was affraid it would move with all the bumps. It is lockable but I wasn't aware that the lock didn't come with the rack. It is easy to set up, and works great with my 29er. The second consern I had was that my truck bed is short, fortunately even with the bike set at an angle, it stays put. I like this set up better than the hitch mount because I was afraid of getting rear ended by people getting tto close at red lights and stop sighns.

First mounted the rack in ute as per directions, first use one of the straps broke as it is attached to the rack with a single pop rivet. The wheel brace slipped off the wheel no matter how hard the brace was against the tyre. After mods the wheel brace sits on top of the tyre in front of the forks. The other strap has been removed and rack has been moved back from the tailgate so the front wheel sits in properly. The rack is bolted to the tray. Still rated a 4 stars as the rack is solid and doesn't intefere with the disc or forks very easy to get the bike in.

Insta-Gator is a great way to tote the bike around. It is well built, sturdy and stable. I have used it for weekly for over three years with no problems.
