Comments about Intense Tire Systems Intense Tires Edge 26" MTB Tire:

Only had a chance to ride these on the snow on my steel rigid, but the super wide 2.5" tire with low pressure works great. Lots of traction even in the soft snow. These tires are burley, so I will probably put them on my AM bike this spring and try them tubeless.

Comments about Intense Tire Systems Intense Tires Edge 26" MTB Tire:

Put these on for winter riding up in the northeast. Grip well when the frost melts and things get greasy, or there's a little snow on the ground. Heavy, but it's winter, who cares. Will switch them out when weather warms up and trails dry out. They do the trick for now.

Comments about Intense Tire Systems Intense Tires Edge 26" MTB Tire:

I picked this up and have a couple of days of riding on it. I can't speak to the durability of the tire, but it has saved my skin a few times already. It seemed to find traction where I wouldn't have thought possible. Rode a trail that went from hard-pack to sand to snow to softer dirt to beds of pine needles. It seemed to hold a line pretty well. I'm running this as a front tire, and was able to carry speed through the section of the trail that would have previously sent my front wheel out from under me.

Compared to a set of Maxxis Minions, this tire is incredibly wide. The 2.5 Minions are much narrower than this tire. I happen to like it, but could see where some people would have clearance issues, or reservations about running this wide of a tire. Don't order this 2.5 and expect it to be narrow.

Another thing I noticed pretty quickly, but don't really have any issues with is that it does seem to pick up rocks pretty well. It seems that there's always a rock stuck in the knobs. More than a few times today, I saw a rock come flying off my front tire and head straight for the guy in front of me. None of them hit, but I suppose it could be a minor nuisance to ride in front of the guy with this tire? *shrugs*
