Based upon the highly successful Nevegal tire, the Small Block 8 features 8 miniature Nevegal shaped knobs running from left to right across the tire. Its well suited for fast accelerating, hard packed cross country riding.

This version of the Small Block 8 uses Kenda’s signature DTC compound. DTC is the ultimate tread compound. Kenda’s L3R compound (60 shore A durometer) is in the center and the cornering knobs have Kenda’s signature STICK-E compound (50 shore A durometer). The benefits are great center tread life, and excellent cornering. You get the best of both worlds with DTC!

The Small Block 8 now embodies SCT technology, which means it is compatible with fluid based tubeless conversion system!

as the title says, "possibly" the lightest tire around. There may be a lighter one out there but I haven't found it. I usually take my bike out year round a couple time a week for 1 to 2 hours each time. So far I'm still on my first set so they has a decent amount of life in them! I ride 45% hard pack, 45% loose rocks and 10% other. these things seem to perform perfectly for what I use them on. I hear people complaining about mud but I haven't tried. Terrible in sand but what tires aren't? They seem to do just fine with thorns, the occasional one gets through, im using tubs with Stan's liquid latex and everything works out fine.

The Small Block 8s came on my Giant Talon 29er in June, and I rode them on a variety of conditions since then. They are great on pavement, almost like riding a road bike, and the excel on packed dirt. However, if a little rain falls while I'm riding, I'm doomed to spend the rest of my ride slipping out on corners.

Comments about Kenda Small Block 8 Pro 29" SCT Tire:

I recently bought the kinda small block 8 pro 29" sct tire and I'm very impressed. I was slightly hesitant at first because of how cheap the price was. I was, however pleasantly surprised as this tire is great for the type of xc riding/racing I do. It handles well on loose rock but is the best on hard packed dirt.

Comments about Kenda Small Block 8 Pro 29" SCT Tire:

These tires came stock on my Haro 29 Comp Hardtail, and they are fantastic. They roll fast, and smooth, they ride very nice on road, and have the grit to hold up through the roughest terrain. I've ridden through rocks, mud, and sand, time and time again. Nothing stops these tires, they are excellent.

      Highly recomend these tires.

Using Stan's Arch rim, sealed with floor pump and I haven't added air for ten solid rides. Great rear tread pattern for Utah, a bit 'washy' as a front tire.

Comments about Kenda Small Block 8 Pro 29" SCT Tire:

I bought these to replace the schwalbe nobby nic that came on my giant. Imo, They are much better for the riding on hard pack dirt and granite and sandstone in the foothills around boulder and Lyons. Good bite over rocks, roots, and in the corners. It's only been a few rides, so I can't speak to the durability on those surfaces.

Great tire for mid-late summer and fall riding when trails are dry/dusty to medium loose. Good rock and root grip with the micro knobs. Sidewalls already have light wear after 50 miles of riding.
