    Reputation (Bad and Good) Unfounded

Comments about origin8 Origin 8 Devist-8Er 2 Fat Bike Tire:

The tires are inexpensive and have an irregular shape before inflation, but in practice that didn't carry over into any noticeable asymmetry while riding.

They're heavy, but the bike isn't noticeably harder to ride or to lift with them than with the Vee Rubber Missions that came with it.

On the other hand, the tires' heavy construction and Kevlar belt have led to a reputation for durability and flat resistance that also didn't pan out. The local "goat head" thorns flattened the back tire before the end of my first ride with Devist8rs, and the front was flat by the next morning.
