Stan’s NoTubes Tire Sealant

Stan’s No Tubes tire sealant is a must for tubeless tire applications. The liquid sealant coats the inside of your tires, preventing air loss through the rim/tire interface, and also seals many thorn and glass holes "on the fly". This system has been proven effective by pros and enthusiasts alike. Another big plus to going tubeless is reducing weight and you’re able to run a lower tire pressure for better grip and lower rolling resistance.

32oz (946ml) jug seals about 16 tires, one application lasts from 3 weeks to 3 months, depending on your local temperature and humidity conditions.

  • Works on Road & Mountain tubeless systems
  • Lasts between 3 weeks to 3 months depending on your weather conditions
  • Stops leaks in their tracks
  • This is just one of many items need to make a kit.
  • Stan’s Rim Tape, Rim Strips/Valves, & Tubeless Compatible tires are needed to create a complete Kit

Used Slim before & never again will I use anything else but Stan's NoTube Sealant. It only took me 15 minutes to convert a non-tubeless DT rims and Kenda Nevegal UST tires to tubeless. The tire sealed easily using an air compressor but floor pumps seem to work sometimes. I didn't have to use soapy water on the beads for the initial seal as well.

Stan's No Tube sealant is less weight and is better at sealing than the thicker slimes, however, you won't feel it slopping around while riding. The sealant do dry up over 6 months, especially in hot weather, butusing the injection kit makes it easy to add an ounce or 2 when needed. The biggest deal here though is that you can kiss goodbye to snakebite flats and thorn punctures, it will seal before you even know about them, even on larger slash flats.

It is messy when you need to use an emergency tube while on the trail when you do get a larger slash and cuts beyond sealing.

Summed up: One thing I love about tubeless is the hollow sound of your tires as you pump your pedals up the hill.

I don't see why everyone raves about Stans, every time i had a pin-whole of any decent size Stans fails to seal it and ends up just spraying out. I know you need to shake well and pour upside down, but it just didn't work in my tubeless (or even tubed) setups when I needed it to.

Maybe I just had a bad batch. Giving Conti Revo Seal a try now.

Comments about Stan's No Tubes Stan's NoTubes 32 Ounce Tire Sealant:

I like stans. It works really well. I used it on all my trail bikes in AZ. I feel it dries out real quick though especially in hot weather. As long as you check your tires regularly and refill as needed, its ok. I think its a little pricey for sealant IMO.

Comments about Stan's No Tubes Stan's NoTubes 32 Ounce Tire Sealant:

If you ride a bike in the woods or on a trail, you need to run tubeless with Stans. Full stop.

I have been full tubeless for a few years now and have not had a pinch flat, or really any other flat tire in that time. Also, I weight a lot (220) and ride fairly aggressively. On a 29er, i can run incredibly low pressure without any concerns. I can dial in the pressure that has the best traction based on conditions and not need to worry if my equipment can handle it.

Set up can be a bit of a pain, especially with new tires. Here are a few tips:
    1. I always inflate any new tire with a tube first and let the bead set before your try to get it to set tubeless.
    2. I use an air compressor to set the bead. If you don't have an air compressor, a CO2 inflator works just as well if not better.
    3. I NEVER use tubeless specific tires. The are stupid heavy and only get you a bit more sidewall life. The reality is the bead is going to be wrecked or the tread worn before the sidewall breaks down. (The exception here might be very thin race tires. Don't use those so don't know.)
    4. I recheck sealant every two months of consistent riding. Usually just pop a bit of the bead out (not the whole thing), throw a scoop of Stans in, re inflate and good to go.

Comments about Stan's No Tubes Stan's NoTubes 32 Ounce Tire Sealant:

I use Stan's in all my bikes. It is lightweight, seals quickly, and works great. It is IMPERATIVE that you shake the bottle before you put the product in the tire. Failure to do so causes negative reviews. Also, throw a little soapy water around the outside of the rim/tire interface when initially seating the bead. This will save on Stan's. It dries up inside the tire fairly quick, but I think this is also what helps it seal holes so fast.

I was a Tubeless holdout for a long time until I tried a tubeless setup with Stan's. Well, it's a world of difference and a game changer. Seals big thorns and punctures immediately without fuss. Cleans out of clothes easily if you get sprayed. Works in tubes, tubulars, and tubeless setups. Cheap (cheaper than tubes, you got that right), reliable and effective. What more could you ask for?

I use this on all my mountain bikes. It will save you on many tire mishaps, but not with large cuts on the sidewall. Actually saved me on a race, got a puncture but kept enough air until the finish. Make sure you follow the directions, and can be tricky at first. Using compressed air or CO2 cartridges with help with installs.
