I just put these on, and let them do the rest. It's really a no brainer.
It secured my genitals nicely. Not too bouncybouncy and not too tight. It was just right.

I wore these TLD BP7605 on a 21 mile shuttle ride with a fare amount of climbing. I only noticed them for the first 2 miles. The remainder of the ride, these felt like normal riding under shorts.
They run a bit big. Call for sizing recommendation.

I bought these for DH riding and for that they work well. Not as bulky as they may appear and the construction is top notch. Substantial chamois but not too substantial. The thigh and hip padding is not that thick but may be just enough. Fit is spot on for large - 34 waist.

Sizing:
Had to call TLD for help on sizing. They reco'd X-small as I have a 29" waist and stand 5'6". I was skeptical but the shorts fit better than previous shorts I've worn. They work well for aggressive trail riding and seated pedaling is not a problem with these.
Durability:
Primary riding shorts so they get machine washed 3 times a week. I never remove the armor. Air dry. They are holding up better than expected. I plan on buying another pair.
I haven't had the pleasure of crashing with these yet so can't say how well they protect. Compared to my EVS armored undershorts, the TLD shorts look much more protective.
