This helmet is great! Be patient with the fit. I thought it was too tight out of the box. After one ride everything settled in and the fit is great!! My head is on the top end of the M/L scale.

The moment you put on the D2, you know you are safer. The padding has nearly full contact with all parts of your skull - like being held in fleece lined bubble wrap. Yet as soon as you move forward - even while walking - you can feel the air flow, keeping you cool. Amazing for a full face helmet.
I was a little concerned about trusting the sizing - I have a small head (hat size 6 7/8), yet was nervous I was buying too small because of how TLD groups their helmet sizes (S/XS, M/L, XL). I needn't have worried. My S/XS fit perfectly. Measure your head and purchase with confidence.
Oh and by the way, helmets DO save lives. I landed on my head from a 5' drop on a Canadian mountain 3 years ago. I would have died right there had I not been wearing a full face helmet. Instead, thanks to my Band of Shredders and my helmet, I walked off the mountain, returned to the states and 10 hours later learned I exploded my C-4. Still riding, thankfully fully repaired.
