The Troy Lee Designs XC glove has been a huge hit amongst mountain bikers and motocross riders. This year, the XC glove has been redesigned. Made from a combination of stretch Spandex and Air- Prene material, the XC is a fantastic lightweight, all purpose glove that is great for both motorcycle and bicycle riding. The ultra flexible 4 way stretch spandex allows for maximum dexterity. Sonic weld rubber provides ample knuckle protection. The injection molded TPR rubber pull tab allows you to quickly and easily install gloves. Once installed, the Airprene wrist closure allows you to ensure the proper fit.

  • New design
  • Ultra flexible 4 way stretch spandex.
  • Sonic weld rubber logo for knuckle protection.
  • Clarino palm with strategically positioned internal padding.
  • Injection molded TPR rubber pull tab eases entry.
  • Airprene wrist for a secure comfortable fit.

I'm on my second pair now, and really the only reason I'm replacing the first is because after several years of the occasional washing, the color has faded. I've biffed hard wearing these, and I've biffed hard wearing other gloves. These gloves are the only ones I've ever owned that have held up crash after crash after crash. Not so much as a thread has loosened.
I'm old, thus usually I like to have padding around my ulna to keep my hands from going numb. Riding DH however, I don't seem to have this problem so I can get away with thin(ner) XC-style gloves such as these. The only reason I can think of NOT to buy 'em, is if you like your gloves to fall apart on you early and often so you have an excuse to get a new pair. These won't.

I purchased these gloves in July, I've used them heavily for XC and AM riding since. These held up incredibly well to the heavy use I put them through. there is little noticeable wear even on the palm of the glove and all stitching is intact.

However, these babies are HOT. I wore them through the summer months in North Carolina and each time I stopped at trail intersections or to grab a snack, I had to take my gloves off and try to dry the sweat. For the same reason, these gloves take forever to dry if you should get caught in the rain (which happens often in NC). Also, the hefty palm doesn't provide a very good feel of the grips, levers, or shifters if you're into a lower profile feel.

Comments about Troy Lee Designs XC Gloves:

I had a pair of these in medium that I loved. I bought another set in medium that were WAY too tight. I returned them and got a large, now these are too big. Lame.

Good gloves for cool rides. I wouldn't recommend these for summer riding as they don't breathe very well. They are very durable gloves that wont rip and will last a long time.
