We are on our third bottom bracket for our tandem. Stuck with TruVativ cranks, this bottom bracket is the pits. This design just doesn't stand up to what should be a trouble free, low maintenance product. Stay clear if one can avoid it. TruVativ, either get a grip on QC or get out! I also have the creak-creak on my commuter bike, bottom bracket failing with only 2,000 miles!! Pure junk.

Realizo recirridos de unos 25 km y no abuso de la bicicleta, no lodo, no exceso de agua, sin embargo ya son tres las piezas que han fallado cada una con un periodo de vida de un aÃ+/-o. Estoy considerando cambiar el sistema por shimano, mal producto"Recirridos realize about 25 km and not abuse the bike, no mud, no excess water, however, and there are three parts that have failed each with a lifespan of one year. This BB came OE on my F3, and lasted a grand total of 4 months of XC riding. No wet conditions or freeride abuse. Somehow, the bearings have failed and it emits a loud creak every time I am out of the saddle, as well as have significant play. There is no way this should die after only several hundred miles of XC riding. Bad product. If you want a good ISIS BB, get an FSA Platinum Pro. I am getting out of ISIS forever and getting an XT crank. Just not a fan of the whole system.....

bottom brackets are one of those things you only think about when they go south, so any review is going to be tough. That said, I went through a couple of these in 18 months - the first got chewed up from the fine sand in the muddy springtime race courses, the second was making a knocking sound that I had the hardest time figuring out. When I pulled the cranks I knew something was amiss but it took me a couple of minutes to figure it out: half of the drive side spindle had sheared off in the crank arm. Luckily, the missing piece came right out with no damage to the crank, but I weigh 145 soaking wet and I'm an XC guy, so that sort of damage in ridiculous. Seeing how as the self-extracting bolts have a hard-stop, its not from over-tightening, either.
