Although Urge drew inspiration from downhill, this helmet is for any type of cycling. On warm sunny days, you’ll be thankful for the eight round vents (30mm in diameter) embedded into the helmet. The internal channels push the air through the helmet and cool your head as you are pounding down the trail. Urge created the "Gangsta" frontal pad to be in contact withthe air while riding. This keeps the pad drier and your head will be more comfortable. Comfort is essential and that is why Urge has created soft, removable, and washable pads for their helmet. Also included are pads of different thickness for customizing your fit. Fits great, looks great (no more massive mushroom head helmets). Like the rear protection. Haven't ridden with it in the summer yet, seems like it may be a bit hot. Only complaint is price, but that seems to be the trend of the industry.
