Tape works extremely well. I've used both the glue and now tape and I'm "sticking" with the tape. 1 Amendment on how to pull the tape backing off: Once you have the tape on the rim and the tire on as well, getting the tape backing off is a challenge and it breaks easily - to avoid the problem put a pencil on the rim between the tire and the tape - roll the pencil along the rim peeling the tape backing off as you go and presto - professional looking tubular!
