Velox is the most durable and easiest to install rim tape on the market. In more than a few instances I've transferred strips from wheel to wheel when I had to get the rim replaced. Even with apparently no "stick," when wrapped tight enough, it sticks!
Here's a fool-proof installation tip: Insert a Bic pen (a screwdriver works too) through the valve hole section, start to lay the tape over the rim bed placing the pen through the valve hole (don't let it slip totally through). This provides an "anchor" for the tape so you can really stretch and align it over the rim bed. When the end of the tape reaches the valve hole again, snip off the excess and smooth everything out with your finger. Voila! Perfectly installed Velox.

However If it did fit i would have given it a 5 star review.

I'm not sure I've ever used any other rim tape. Very easy to apply, if you get the right size it'll fit perfrctly with no need for trimming. This stuff will probably live as long as your rim as long as you don't mess with it.

The 22mm width fitted my WTB Speeddisc 29er rims perfectly. I didn't even need to trim the length. I was previously having problems with narrower rim tapes moving around over time and partly exposing the spoke holes which led to flats.
I've also had problems with rim tapes going hard after exposure to water which created an edge sharp enough to cut into the tube over time. Too early to see if these will also have this problem but because the width fills the inner rim properly I have high hopes they won't.

I have yet to find a better solution than velox for rim tape. I use it on all my road, mountain and cyclocross bikes. I have never had a flat tube resulting from abrasion with velox tape installed. I typically remove whatever was installed OE on any new wheelset and install velox instead.

Lightweight, easy to install & cut to length. Self adhesive is good. Unfortunately it is cloth, and is good only for XC, racing, road and light trail. If you are an aggressive Off road rider these are not for you as they don't offer much protection from pierce punctures... large impacts from square edged hits can cause your spokes to punch through the cloth rim tape and leave you a tube with a hole. So definitely not for any aggresive off roading or light FR. XC is fine though.

I have used Velox on every set of wheels I have ever built. I have never once punched a spoke through this stuff, and if installed properly (slowly and under even tension), it will never slip off. Should you need to remove it to replace a spoke), it peels off easily with no residue, even thousands of miles later. What more could you ask for?!
