This tire fits my criteria perfectly: Needs to be budget friendly, needs to not wear quickly (good high-mileage tire), the tire beads need to be loose enough that I can remove the tire to replace flats without a tire lever, and I wanted them in a 25c size. So far these tires seem to be holding up to all of my criteria.

I am also a clydesdale rider, so I wanted a wider tire but wanted one that had an adequate PSI rating for my weight. At 220lbs, the 25c tire inflated to 125PSI seems to be perfect (note: the max pressure is rated at 130PSI). The tire has adequate cushion and minimal rolling resistance.

With these being wirebead I was worried they would be difficult to install, but to my surprise the bead is not that tight and I can remove and install the tires without levers (note: I have 15 years of bicycle mechanic experience, so this may not be the case for everyone).

For the price, I have to say I am impressed with two things: the rolling resistance is excellent, and the tires have a very reassuring feeling in the corners. These tires also have great cornering stability in the rain.

My one and only mixed feeling with the tire: forward traction is minimal. Meaning, the tires are susceptible to locking-up easily on wet and low-traction surfaces while braking. This is a bit of a give-and-take here: generally to minimize rolling resistence you'll sacrifice some forward traction. This isn't necessarily a big issue for me, because the excellent cornering of the tire makes up for the loss of forward traction; in the event I needed to emergency stop, I feel like I could swerve out of any danger.

Overall I am completely satisfied with these tires and would not be hesitant to say dollar-for-dollar, these could be one of the best budget clincher tires out right now. When I need tires next time around, I will probably try these tires in the 28c version.

I bought several of these in different sizes for some old wheels of mine, and for my son's old bike. The low cost was what encouraged me to purchase them.

I have done some commuting (13 miles each way) and some longer weekend rides (70 to 100 miles) on them. To be honest, I couldn't wait to fix my good wheels and get back on the Gatorskin tires.

The Zaffiros skid nearly every time I apply the brakes. Maybe I don't weigh enough and should eat more Italian pasta to hold the bike down. Or maybe I should not use Zaffiros.

Oh, and they are super tight and are a real pain to get on and off the rims.... I had one puncture (really gnarly staple that would have gone through even the gatorskins) and it took me nearly half an hour on the road in the rain to get it all put back together.

I have learned to love these tires. They are consistently of high quality for the price. I get about 4 months usage on hard surface road bike lanes with lots of junk. Will continue to use them.

These tires seem to be a lot more durable that the stock tires that came on the bike. Rode through some glass and shredded both stock tires at the same time.

Been using this tire for several years on three different bikes, both mine and my wife's. I have not found a better tire for the price. We live in the country where the roads are rough, with plenty of rocks and assorted other foreign objects. These tires have rarely went flat out on the road, and on the few times they have it has probably been because I have pushed them beyond their mileage limits. I have been getting around 1200 or so miles out of them.

I switched from 700X23 tires to these Vittoria 700X28. I wanted something heavier, more durable and with more resistance for my training rides (I'm a beginner endurance athlete). I got it. And those cracks on the street, I barely feel them anymore. I now ride with more confidence. For the price, a very good value.

I have never ridden on a bike that was so smooth as my bike is with this tire. Amazing the difference. I coupled it with a thorn resistant tube and new Wheel tape. Together the three make an excellent combination and ride superbly. In short: If you are looking for an inexpensive, yet excellent, smooth tire, this is absolutely it.

I bought these 28mm Vittoria tires to replace the cheap, 25mm that came on my single speed bike. They installed easily and are a nice improvement over the stock tires. Considering how inexpensive they are, you can't go wrong.

Was looking for a decent training tire and I liked the tread design of the Zaffiro. Have almost a 1000 miles on them. Rolling resistanc is average, cornering is good, and pretty stable in wet conditions. No flats yet, but the club rides haven't had many either. Only downside is they wear fast. Front tire isn't bad, but the back tire is well worn. It's flat across and a portion of the side treads are worn away. I run the tires at 120psi and I weight 175 lbs. Overall they're good for the price, but not durable enough for the whole season.

Use these on my commuter/beer bike. I've pulled pieces of glass out after a ride but never had a flat. Rolls smooth and absorbs some of the bumps. Wire bead was a pain to install.

Vittoria makes very solid tires. I've put over 2000 miles on the Rubinos on my other bike. My girlfriend has had 700c Zaffiros on her commuter and has never had any issues.

                                  Highly recommend.
