Comments about WTB Bronson 29Er Comp Wire Tire:
Have these on my SC Tallboy. Was a "I need tires now" choice and I had heard good things about the Bronson tire. Wish I had kicked in the extra for the folding as these are pretty heavy and slow to spin up. Won't buy them again for a light weight bike. Would be excellent for a hard tail beater wet bike.
Comments about WTB Bronson 29Er Comp Wire Tire:
I bought these for rigid 96er I built and have noticed the footprint or the overall width of the tread seems to make it feel more like a 2.4. That's not a bad thing though, I think the ramped center knobs help it roll like a smaller width. So far it's been great in corners and off camber sections. I avoid the trails around here while it's muddy so I can't attest to the mud clearing properties. I like these tires but I love my kenda small block eights.
Comments about WTB Bronson 29Er Comp Wire Tire:
I was using the WTB Nano Raptor for both the front and rear, but found that it was really lacking as a front tire. This Bronson is muuuuuch better. Great cornering and braking. I run rigid forks, so I like that the PSI rating for this tire is on the lower side (I run it at 35 psi).
I ride singletracks in Georgia, meaning there are a lot of pine needles and roots. I really like this tire up front. (I'm still using the Nano Raptor in the rear, so I can't speak intelligently about the Bronson as a rear tire.)

Comments about WTB Bronson 29Er Comp Wire Tire:
I put these on in place of a pair of Nano's that came stock on my 29er. I needed something that would climb better, hold the line better on off-camber trails, handle more versatile conditions be reasonably durable and would be more resistant to thorn punctures. I've been riding them all spring and have put 100+ miles on them so far and they've been great! They climb like a mountain goat, shed mud well, and provide much more control in varying conditions. I've ridden these in hard clay, rocks, soft loamy conditions, on dry dirt and shale, mud, over lots of roots, and rocks. They've eaten all trails they've encountered and never broke a sweat. I've only had 1 pinch flat and that was when I was running lower than normal pressure and hit a really sharp rock/small tree stump. I ride about 180 lbs and found that 39 - 40 lbs of air pressure provides a trouble-free ride. Some of the trails I ride have thorns that had caused flats w/my old Nano's. None so far with these. My riding has been in the Northeast hills/mountains and Southeast. These aren't as fast as the Nano's on level hard pack, paved, packed gravel trails. But for most of the riding I do, these Bronsons have been a fantastic improvement. And so far, they've shown very little wear.

Tires were brand new and front tire blew on fast down hill section of Palm Cayon trail. Beed seperated from tire on front and caused me to crash hard, able to limp out with zip ties and spare tube
