Comments about WTB Mutano Race Tire '12:
I used the previous version exclusively as a front tire for years in very rocky, rooty, and sometimes wet terrain in Pennsylvania. Now I use this model tubeless on the rear of my Trek 69er. I tried a few others and always came back. There's no comparison for front end tracking in varied terrain and conditions. Always feel confident I know what it's going to to, even on wet logs. The 2.4 tire is lighter than the 2.2 in the same model! Great tire, works and seals well tubeless, light, great traction and damping (for hardtails), and lasts a long time. I had the same one on the front of my FS for almost three years now. The lugs are chewed up, but traction is still great. Not sure there are any other tires with comparable specs and low rolling resistance in 2.4
