Used only on the rear. Durable & wears? My wife skids, a LOT! (sinner). She wore one out in 1/2 season (30 ish rides). Mine lasted full. Even worn,(hers looks like a semislick now) the rubber grips surprisingly well (except in real loose sandy soil). New, wow everywhere. Personally would like about 1-2mm more tread on centre, for more bite on loose climbs! But that may affect the surprisingly smooth roll for such an open tread. I have recommended these, as my top choice to several people, and I've run about 5 different treads on the rear in the last 2 years. Hey WTB! Bring it out in TCS format. Mine is currently tubeless (not recommended by WTB). Yeah I really like this tire!

Ran a set for about two months. Only lasted around 150 trail miles before the rear was shot.
Tread is fairly low profile and the rubber is sticky. They are light, fast and grippy when you first put them on - just don't expect them to last long.
I've switched back to Kenda Nevegals which I find have better traction and wear at the expense of a little speed.

Comments about WTB Prowler MX Race Folding Tire:
Replaced my well-worn Kenda Nevegal tires with these, and was pleasantly surprised. Strong performance on the curves, and the aggressive tread held up well in the loose stuff. My Nevegal's lost a few outside tread "knobbies" on sharp rocks. So far, the Prowler's seem to be holding up well. Time will tell, but very happy with these tires thus far.

i would say this is one of the good tires but no best but it does the job. i have the 2.3 front and back its pretty fat for 2.3 than my friends maxxis ignitor. the only thing i dont really like is when going uphill on a loose dirt the traction arent that good but its all good i can keep up with it. overall good tires!

Comments about WTB Prowler MX Race Folding Tire:
LIke the way these tires grab and just about any surface. Wet rocks and roots traction is just ok but there are not may tire at this price that do. They corner well too. They do wear down quick but that is the trade off for good traction. I bought 2 more sets after riding 2 months. I will buy them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a good all around mountain biking tire for not too much $$$.

Will buy more, excellent discount (cant beat it). Ride hilly, rocky, muddy terrain, can't tell how they will be a month from now.

Comments about WTB Prowler MX Race Folding Tire:
I got these as wet weather tires. They've filled that need very well. Good traction in the damp conditions normal in the fall and spring, without much (any?) extra rolling resistance.
Sealed up tubeless very well, and rolled very fast and quiet tubeless. With tubes, they don't seem to roll quite as fast, and they buzzed on pavement.
The 2.1s came in narrow for a 2.1, compared to the other tires I have.

I bought a set of these and used both of them for the front and back of my 26er. They hook up super well in most conditions expect mud but who rides much in the mud anyway! Already noticed some wear on the rear but I have rode like 3-4 times a week since the summer. Def a great bang for your buck!!

Comments about WTB Prowler MX Race Folding Tire:
I wanted a little extra grip on the front of my 26er retro hardtrail when charging into corners. I've used this same tire on one of my all mountain bikes and new it to be an all around grippy tire that wore extremly well. The extra bite was the ticket for that little extra bit of confidence when diving deep into corners. An old school set up that still applies today.
