I bought this wheel to mount a trainer tire on so I can have a dedicated trainer wheel. Swaping tires constantly is a real pain. Anyway for the price it was a better wheel than I was expecting. Its a bit heavy and there is nothing fancy about it but if you just want a cheap functional wheel then this seams to be a good one.

A very nice rear wheel. I am completely satisfied. 32 straight 14 G spokes, with nice Shimano FH-2200 rear hub. It says hand-built in USA, and it looks like it. Weinmann rims have always been known for their sturdiness, and this Weinmann LP-18 rim seem very sturdy. It is double walled aluminum alloy rim with very nice braking surfaces (dull silver finish.) Drilled for presta valve. Rim says for 18C to 23C tires, but I plan to run 25C on mine. I have not ridden it yet, but have no qualms. Plans are to use it on my 2001 Schwinn Fastback frame as a replacment. You should note that the Weinmann LP-18 rim does not have spoke eyelets, but still the wheel build quality seems very sturdy and this wheel should last a long time.
