Comments about X-Fusion Shox X-Fusion Slide RL2 29" 100mm Fork:
This air spring fork has rebound and lockout adjustments only. If I set this fork up to the correct sag, I can't even come close to using all the travel. If I set it up so I can take advantage of all the travel, half the travel is used up when I sit on the bike and the fork bounces all over when I stand to pedal. When I got the fork it was set up at 80mm. Decided to set it to 100mm to see if that made things any better. Couldn't do that without special tools that were not available. Had to send it in to get that taken care of (took a week) and the performance of the fork was still unacceptable to me. Considering this is a $400 fork I guess I should have expected this. I am replacing this with a fork that has more adjustability, and is easier to work on. The new fork is also more expensive. You get what you pay for.
