These pedals look cool and my Five Ten shoes stuck to them just right. The pedal is too easily damaged to be in the Downhill or XC category as they are advertised. My pedal was literally pulled apart or bent open by catching it on a vine. The vine was not even strong enough to stop the bike or cause me to wreck. I just felt a slight tug on that pedal and noticed the damage a minute later.

i use these mostly for trail riding and cross county. These pedals are super lite weight, hold your feet great. i'm old school and don't like clips, these are the best platform pedals I've had for past 11 years.
