The Yeti 575 has been a best- seller at JensonUSA for many years now. Yeti designed a bike that is not only lightweight, but has loads of travel. This extremely versatile bike allows you to easily climb steep terrain, and take the gnarly course back down the mountain. If you only have one mountain bike in the garage, ensure that you have the Yeti 575, the do-it-all, go anywhere mountain bike. Though the 575 has been Yeti’s flagship model for many years now, it has received some very impressive upgrades over the years. Most notably, last year Yeti began hydro- forming the main pivot junction to increase the stiffness and clearance. Other notable changes include a direct mount front derailleur, ISCG ’03 tabs, and cable stops for dropper seat posts. The 2013 model features a new custom butted rear triangle to increase the strength and stiffness of the rear, while maintaining the same weight. The head tube is now tapered for increased front- end stiffness.
This version of the Yeti 575 features the Enduro kit, which features high performance parts, with a careful eye on value. Though the Enduro kit is value priced, Yeti did not cut any corners. The 575 Enduro features Fox suspension components. Up front, the Fox Float features 150mm of travel to suck up all of the bumps, ruts, branches, and rocks in your path. The Fox Float rear suspension features Boost Valve for an endless travel feeling. Both the suspension fork and rear shock feature Fox Shox’ new CTD technology. CTD stands for Climb, Trail, and Descend. It’s easy- flip the switch to the terrain you are currently riding. The Fox fork also features Trail Adjust tuning for further tuning. Fox CTD technology allows you to micro adjust your suspension on the fly, for the best ride possible. The Yeti 575 features a mix of performance components including a Shimano SLX E- type front derailleur, SRAM X9 10 speed rear derailleur, and Maxxis Crossride wheels.
