No compromises, only the best! With a full seven inches of travel this frame will fly going downhill, especially when the terrain gets rough. But dont let it's downhill prowess fool you into thinking its a "one way" frame, it climbs very well too. The heart of its abilities come from the Active Suspension design, it is plush and efficient. The key ingredient to the design is the carbon fiber dog bone; it keeps the rear wheel tracking straight and provides the optimal leverage ratio throughout its travel. The AS-R 7 is the clear winner in the long travel, light weight category.

Comments about Yeti Cycles Yeti AS-R 7 Frame With RC4 2011:
I've never had a bad experience with Yeti bikes. This frame sticks to that trend. With the right fork this bike will float through any nasty terrain you put it through. Despite being a big full suspension frame, it does pedal pretty efficiently. It's no XC bike and will give you a workout on the trails.
So far, I've only found one thing "wrong" about it, but it's not really a big problem. Yeti bikes tend to run long/large. In recent months I've ridden this and a specialized enduro. The AS-R 7 medium feels pretty comparable to the enduro in a large. I definitely recommend test riding the frame before committing to buy.
