The Yeti SB-95 Comp is a premium 29" trail bike crafted as a result of years of careful research and development. Yeti's hard work has paid off beautifully in the SB-95. Every detail has been scrutinized. All potential problems remedied. Conventional limits pushed to the brink. The Yeti SB-95 is a truly staggering trail machine that is ready to take your riding to the limit.
The SB-95 Comp is centered on a highly engineered alloy tubeset with 5" of travel. The main difference between the SB-95 and SB-95 Comp is the rear triangle construction. The Comp replaces the carbon rear triangle of the SB-95 with an alloy triangle, therefore reducing cost and passing on the ride of a top-shelf Yeti to more budget concious riders. At the heart of the SB-95 is Yeti's Switch Suspension Technology. This well- executed design utilizes an oversized main pivot that contains a second pivot (lower pivot of the swing arm) that is offset within the main. This eccentric mechanism switches direction as the bike moves through its travel creating an optimized wheel path without unexpected spikes or wallows, resulting in a bike that climbs well and descends even better.
Yeti chose to outfit the Comp build of the SB-95 with a 2x10 drivetrain made from SRAM X7 and X9 that keeps costs down but still maintains efficient and snag free shifting and pedaling. Complementing the smart design of the Switch suspension system is a pair of Fox suspension components. A Fox 34 Evo 120mm (15mm axle) fork tames the bumps up front and a Fox Evo (7.5"x2.0") rear shock keeps you rolling smoothly and confidently down aggressive terrain. A DT Swiss M1900 wheelset provides lightweight but durable rolling power wrapped in top-notch rubber from Maxxis. Avid Elixir 5 hydraulic disc brakes give you control when you need to stop on a dime or modulate your speed down a technical descent. Rounding out the cockpit of this stellar build is a complement of Truativ components. A Truativ T20 seatpost sturdies a Yeti custom saddle, while a Truativ T30 handlebar is secured firmly in the riders grip by a Truativ T20 stem.

Comments about Yeti Cycles Yeti SB-95 Comp Bike 2014:
This is my first high end bike and it's amazing. It's quality from the ground up. The switch rear suspension works as it is advertised, very impressive. This is a great all around mountain bike. It climbs very well and I rarely change the suspension to climb mode as it's not necessary. Down hill is stable, the brakes work well, and this bike just looks sweet! So far it seems like it will last me awhile, time will tell! I was contemplating between the Niner RIP9 and the Yeti, could not be happier with my decision! The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is the cable routing, It could be better/cleaner. I was also very impressed with Jenson for the purchase!
Comments about Yeti Cycles Yeti SB-95 Comp Bike 2014:
This is my second 29 inch wheeled bike. I was going to try upgrading my last bike, but my wife suggested getting a new one. This was my last attempt at the 29 inch wheel size. Being 6ft2 and 225# overwhelmed my last bike, and it was unweildy in tight technical terrain. This is where the Yeti excels, and then some! Super stout, handles like a much lighter more playful 26er(seriously). I felt instantly comfortable on it right away. So glad I went with the Yeti SB 95...Believe all the positive reviews.
