I bought two of these for my Surly Troll's horizontal drop-outs. They fit nicely and look OK too. They seem strong and unlikely to break.

Much more robust design than my last two. It's beefy and I expect it will last a long time. They come in pairs (I ordered two and got four bolts.)

Picked these up for the SS track frame commuter. Was a little worried about getting the cheapest set on here; that worry was unfounded! These are great little guys that keep the chain tight without having to over-torque the axle bolts. Very nice design, extremely well made. I'd recommend these to anyone running horizontal dropouts.

Comments about origin8 Origin 8 Chain Tensioner:

Does not work with On One swapout/drop out. Does not protrude deep enough into slot to engage quick release axle.

Maybe I should have assumed this, but they come as a pair, not individual.

Comments about origin8 Origin 8 Chain Tensioner:

I put the black ones on my fixed gear and they look great. I don't know how I got along without chain tensioners before... It's the only way to keep the chain tension consistent without overtightening your axle nuts and eating at your dropouts. My dropouts are just stamped steel, but it looks like these tensioners would accommodate some beefier forged dropouts just fine.
