The pedals seem to have good potential, but I found that the grip is really limited when you are in a seated position and not applying a lot of weight to the pedals. When standing, I had plenty of grip on the pedals. The problem seems to be that the spindle is as tall or taller than the pegs and the pedal has no concave shape, so if you are not putting a lot of weight on the pedals, your shoes can't grip the pegs very well. I have large feet (size 12), so maybe that's why I had more trouble with the tall spindles than most.
Bought these for my wife's mtb since she is uncomfortable with the idea of toe clips or clip ins. The plastic platforms that came with the bike were terrible - her feet would slip off the pedals frequently when riding the trail. These fit the bill perfectly, and the red ones look awesome.

the part of the body where the spindle is placed is too big, even taller than the pins, making the pedal useless. I had to change the pins to a larger ones (not included) to make the pedals almost usable.
