Bike Frames

Every bike is a collection of parts, a system of components that function together to make it all work. But whether it’s a road, mountain, or any other type of bike, the heart of it all is the bike frame. The frame is the backbone that all the parts — wheels, fork, handlebars, saddle and so on — attach to. At Jenson USA we carry bike frames for every style of riding, made from all different materials including steel, aluminum, titanium and carbon fiber.

Our frames are roughly organized into two main categories: road and off-road. There are sub-categories within those, and these days many bikes blur the lines. But bikes with drop handlebars can be generally categorized as “road,” even if they’re designed to go beyond pavement. Examples include cyclocross, gravel and touring bikes. Some of these dirt-friendly drop-bar bikes are also referred to as “all-road” or “X-road.” On the other side of the spectrum, frames with full-suspension setups and flat handlebar designs are, in most cases, categorized as mountain bikes. At JensonUSA.com, we carry a full selection of both. Here’s a look at some of our most popular bike frames:

Road frames (including cyclocross, gravel, urban, etc.): If you’re looking to build up your dream bike, here’s where you start. We stock road, cyclocross and gravel bike frames made with a variety of materials from brands such as Colnago, Wilier, Kona, Ritchey, Niner and others. From pro-level carbon fiber race machines to purpose-built adventure bikes, we have lots of choices at all different price points. There’s no better way to get exactly the type of performance and feel you want than to start with a frame and hand-pick the components.

Mountain bike frames: The first thing to consider when shopping for a mountain bike frame is what type of riding you do most. If you’re into XC racing, burning up singletrack and going for Strava KOMs, you may be looking at a hardtail or short-travel full-suspension frame. For versatile performance on a variety of trails, mid-travel (120-150mm) is probably best. And if you love letting it all hang out, pushing limits on aggressive DH terrain, you’ll be looking at long travel bikes. We carry a wide selection of brands such as Ibis, Intense, Yeti, Kona and Niner. There’s one for every trail and any adventure you can imagine.
