Bike theft is an issue in just about every town or city around the world. A bike is an expensive item that is relatively light and has wheels on it. It’s honestly the perfect item to steel. Since our beloved bikes are so enticing to thieves, many companies offer bike locks to protect your bike from those not so friendly visitors. Cable locks are one of the most common styles of bike locks you will see. They are light amongst offer styles of locks and can easily be maneuvered around a bike and bike rack. If you have been riding to class or work and leave your bike outside unlocked, it’s time for you to get a cable lock. It’s only a matter of time until it disappears. Here at JensonUSA, we have a wide selection of bike cable locks for you to choose from.
Cable locks either use a combination code or key mechanism to unlock. Both have their pros and cons. A key lock is quicker and easier to unlock, but if you forget your key or lose it, you are out of luck. A combination lock takes longer to unlock, but you don’t have to worry about a lost key hindering you plans. Another option available is just buying a cable without a lock. These cables come with a loop on either end so a standard padlock can be used to secure it.
