Cleats are one of your key connections to your bike. Once mounted to the sole of your cycling shoes they allow you to clip in to your pedals and efficiently deliver power to your drivetrain during each downstroke — and upstroke. But if you happen to spend extended time off the bike walking around, your cleats can get damaged or clogged, making it difficult if not impossible to clip back into your pedals. That’s where pedal cleat covers come in.
These handy press-on protectors allow you to walk around with confidence, knowing your cleats aren’t being harmed when you head into the coffee shop or stroll across a parking lot after your ride is done. Most pedal cleat covers are made from high-quality thermoplastic elastomer, meaning they’re durable and pliable over a wide range of temperatures, while also making walking around off your bike more comfortable (and less noisy). And when not in use, pedal cleat covers are compact and easy to store in a jersey pocket.
JensonUSA carries a wide variety of pedal cleat covers for road pedals from manufactures like Shimano, Look, and Speedplay. If you have any questions, pick up the phone and give one of our Gear Advisors a call at 888-880-3811l.
