Extreme riding requires wearing some extreme pants. Mountain bike pants are more durable than regular pants and are built for the most aggressive riding. The FastHouse Fastline MTB Pants are made with a sublimated 400D Poly main body and a solid black 600D Poly reinforced saddle on the bottom leg opening. The water repellent finish means you can splish and splash down the mountain without getting too wet.

Fasthouse *way* off the back: completely missed start of softshell revolution!
TLDR version: FH pants bind & *stop* leg motion before leg reaches 90deg bend because FH used a 20+yr old moto-pant design for top half of these stiff, clammy, bulky dowhill pants and stitched on flimsy lycra legs as an afterthought. Full skinny: these pants are utterly unusable for any kind of trail riding: up top, they're hot, crinkly, and inflexible, and the flimsy mesh on lower legs will snag & load up w/ burrs. Even for those riding a lift all day, they're going to seriously compromise range of motion. I am 6'1" and a rangy 160lbs and the 34 pant wouldn't let me raise my knee above the horizontal with medium-weight kneepads underneath. The size 32 cut that range of motion in half. The rest of the outdoor gear world has been making tough, stretchable, breathable soft-shell outer fabrics for over two decades now. Mind-boggling that new brand like Fasthouse expects mountain bikers to settle for a stiff, unbreathable pu-coated cordura face fabric with a mesh drop liner inside like we used to see on rain & ski pants 20-30yrs ago. It's a fabric you use for cheap duffle bags, not clothing! Back to the drawing board, these pants are a FAIL.
