The product is water proof and will keep the upper part of your body dry. It's also warm because it's not very ventilated. I bought it thinking I could use it for biking. I used it on a tread mill just to see how it was sweating . I ended up being drenched because the ventualtion is not there. The jacket is better for hiking or casual bike ride, not for extreme mountain biking in my opinion. I
