Clipping in while you're riding has numerous benefits like being able to climb and pedal more efficiently. When you're clipped in, your pedaling power increases and your foot is always in the optimum pedaling position. The Giro Empire VR90 are unlike any mountain bike shoe. They feature a lightweight laced one-piece upper for unrivaled comfort, an Easton® EC90full carbon outsole and molded Vibram® rubber tread for relentless grip. The toe of the shoe has a rubber toe guard and the heel has bonded TPU to increase durability and abrasion resistance.
